The r3 system for controlling translations with inheritance shares many characteristics with the template system.

r3 translation set location source
translation
Sets the translation of source at the location specified by
location. The
location may be specified without the page
element, in which case the translation is set in the generic page. The
page should already have been created using r3 target create if specifying a
non-generic page element in
location.
For example: r3 translation set cheese/ca hello
bonjour creates the translation bonjour for
hello for the location
cheese/ca/generic.
set | create | translate
-u: marks the source term as untranslated
in dictionary.
